Terms of Use

Last updated 30 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Vibrato for use of the Vibrato app and vibrato-log.com. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Vibrato.

Your account

You need an account to use most of Vibrato. Keep your sign-in details secure — you're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. Give us accurate information, and don't impersonate anyone else.

Your content

Your reviews, ratings, lists, and profile remain yours. By posting them you give us a licence to host, store, reproduce, and display them for the purpose of operating Vibrato — including showing them to other users where your visibility settings allow. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already made by other users or retained in backups for a limited period.

Only post content you have the right to post.

Community rules

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Vibrato. Accounts that post it may be removed without notice.

Specifically, don't post or send anything that is:

Don't try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, and don't use it to build a competing dataset.

Reporting and enforcement

In-app reporting and blocking controls are rolling out. Until they land, email support@vibrato-log.com to report content or another user and we will act on it. We review reports and act on them, typically within 24 hours — by removing content, or suspending or removing the account responsible. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion where these terms are broken.

Subscriptions

Vibrato is free to use. Curator and Maestro are optional paid tiers, sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store.

We may change subscription pricing or what each tier includes. Where a change affects an active subscription, we'll give notice first, and it won't apply to a period you've already paid for.

Advertising

The free tier shows advertising. Whether ads are personalized depends on the permissions you grant; declining does not restrict your use of the app. See the Privacy Policy.

Music data

Artist, release, and recording metadata comes from MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive, used under their licences. Vibrato is not affiliated with MusicBrainz, Last.fm, Spotify, or Apple. Vibrato does not stream music.

Ending things

You can stop using Vibrato and delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop offering the service, in which case we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

Disclaimers and liability

Vibrato is provided "as is". We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't guarantee that catalog metadata is accurate or complete. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

These terms don't affect the statutory consumer rights you have where you live.

Apple

This agreement is between you and Vibrato, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated above and, where they matter, flagged in the app. Continuing to use Vibrato after a change means you accept it.
